Internship
Internship in the field of sustainability and ESG
Aims of the course
The aim of the professional internship is to enable students to apply and verify the knowledge and skills acquired during the follow-up master’s studies directly in the corporate or public sphere. Within the course, students will be involved in projects and tasks solved in a selected company or public institution. The course thus represents a suitable bridge between theoretical studies and the student’s future profession.
The internship is carried out in cooperation with corporate partners of the faculty (based on a partnership agreement).
Learning outcomes and competences
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the course of their studies to their work tasks;
- evaluate the functioning of a given company or institution in their field of study and the demands of the relevant profession;
- present the results of an independently solved work task.
Course contents
- Prior to enrolling in the course, the student contacts the academic staff member listed on the placement offer who acts as a tutor. The student will receive a framework contract from the tutor which will define the basic rights and obligations of the parties (FBA, student, host organisation). The signing of the contract by the parties is followed by the registration of the course.
- Once the course has been registered, the aim and course of the placement is agreed with the tutor and the advisor from the host organisation and signed.
- This is followed by the performance of the placement under the guidance of the tutor in the host organisation and consultation with the tutor.
- At the end of the placement, the student prepares a report on the course and results of the placement, which includes an evaluation of the student by the placement tutor of the receiving organisation.
- The grade is awarded by the tutor on the basis of the tutor’s assessment, the report produced and the discussion of the placement.
- The internship takes place as a continuous activity of 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks.
